Paper for caterers

A caterer portions food hours before service, carries the food across town and serves hundreds at once. Butter paper wraps portions and lines trays. OGR handles fried snacks.

01 / The jobs

Where paper works for a caterer

Wrapping portions for packed meals and boxes. Lining steel trays for transport and the buffet. Placing fried snacks on sheets for service. Separating layers of rotis and parathas.

02 / Constraints

The limits a caterer works under

  1. Event dates

An event date never moves. Paper has to arrive before the event, so lead time decides what you order.

  2. Hours between kitchen and plate

Food sits wrapped for hours in transit, so oily items need a grease barrier.

  3. Peaks

Wedding and festival seasons bunch orders together. Stock up before the peak, not during the peak.

  4. Portion count

Packed meals use one sheet per portion, so sheet size and count drive the order.

04 / Example

A worked example

A caterer packs 500 lunch boxes for a corporate event, each with rotis wrapped in a 300×400 mm butter paper sheet and a fried snack on a square of white OGR.

At one sheet per box, 500 boxes use 500 butter paper sheets. A sheet MOQ of 10,000 covers twenty such events.

Order sheets and OGR well before the season. Keep a few rolls in reserve for last-minute events.

06 / Ordering

Order sizes

Butter paper rolls start at 1 retail roll, or 250 kg per width and GSM in bulk. Sheets start at 10,000 per size and GSM. OGR starts at 500 kg per GSM and size.
