Paper for bakeries

A bakery lines trays all day and wraps what leaves the counter. Butter paper does most of the work, and OGR handles the oily items.

01 / The jobs

Where paper works in a bakery

Tray and tin lining, batch after batch, with no greasing. Wrapping pastry, sandwiches and counter items. Interleaving layers, so product separates cleanly.

Fried and oily items, from samosas to puffs, need a grease barrier on the counter and in the bag.

02 / Constraints

The limits a bakery works under

  1. Oven heat

Only the silicone-coated butter paper type carries an oven rating: 230 °C. We make no oven claim for the other two types.

  2. Mixed tray sizes

Different trays and tins through a shift favour rolls, cut to each length.

  3. Daily volume

A bakery lines hundreds of trays a week, so bulk reels and sheet MOQs matter.

  4. Food contact

Only butter paper and OGR go against food. Keep MF and kraft for packing.

04 / Example

A worked example

A bakery lines 100 trays a day from a 450 mm roll, at 420 mm per tray. The bakery uses 42 m a day, so a 2,000 m bulk reel lasts about 48 days.

The same bakery wraps puffs and samosas in white OGR sheets at 400×600 mm, and orders silicone-coated butter paper for oven work.
