Burger wrapping paper

A burger wrap has to hold oil and sauce on the inside. OGR does this job, in white for a clean look or brown for a natural one.

01 / The job

What a burger wrap has to do

Oil and sauce from the patty and fillings soak an ordinary sheet and darken the outside. An oil and grease resistant sheet holds a barrier, so the wrap still looks clean when your customer receives the order.

The wrap also has to fold tight around the bun, so light weights suit the job.

03 / Format

Sheets or reels

Counters wrapping by hand usually prefer pre-cut sheets. Our OGR sheets come in 300×400, 400×600 and 500×700 mm.

Lines and high-volume kitchens cut from reels. Our OGR reels run 300 to 1,200 mm wide, slit to order, and 1,000 to 3,000 m long.

The MOQ is 500 kg per GSM and size. Lead time is 2 to 3 weeks from stock, or 6 to 8 weeks for a new mill run.

04 / Shade

White or brown

Both shades share the same grease barrier. White reads clean and retail at the counter. Brown reads natural and unbleached, and suits brands built on a handmade feel.

Natural stock carries some shade variation between batches, and we flag a batch change before dispatch.

05 / Testing

Test with your own burger

Order swatches in two weights. Wrap a burger, leave the wrap for as long as a delivery takes, then check the outside for grease.

Questions

Before you specify

Which paper stops grease showing through a burger wrap?

OGR, oil and grease resistant paper. The sheet holds a barrier against fat instead of absorbing fat.

Do you print burger wraps?

Our grade pages list plain OGR. For a printed wrap, ask us before you order.

Which GSM for burger wraps?

Start at the light end of our OGR range, 35 or 45 GSM, and move up for heavier or saucier burgers.
