Paper for takeaway food

Takeaway food sits in its wrap for the whole trip. Wrap oily items in OGR, so the wrap still looks clean at the door. Wrap rotis and dry items in butter paper.

01 / The job

What a takeaway wrap has to do

A dine-in plate meets the customer in minutes. A delivery order travels for half an hour or more inside a bag. Oil has time to work through a plain sheet.

The wrap also carries the presentation. A darkened, torn wrap at the door costs the order its look.

03 / Weight

Picking a weight

A takeaway kitchen uses a sheet on every order, so every gram counts. The OGR barrier does the work extra weight would otherwise do, so start at 35 or 45 GSM.

Move up to 55 GSM and above for heavy, wet items, where the wrap takes more handling in the bag.

04 / Format

Sheets or rolls at the pass

Pre-cut sheets keep the pass fast: one sheet, one wrap. OGR comes in 300×400, 400×600 and 500×700 mm sheets.

Rolls suit a kitchen wrapping many sizes. Butter paper rolls come in widths from 300 to 1,200 mm. OGR reels come from 300 to 1,200 mm wide, slit to order.

05 / The bag

Wrap first, then bag

Keep the food-grade wrap between the food and any bag or box. Our kraft is not for direct food contact, so a kraft bag carries the wrapped order, never the bare food.

06 / Ordering

Order sizes and lead times

OGR starts at 500 kg per GSM and size, with 2 to 3 weeks from stock. Butter paper rolls start at 1 retail roll, or 250 kg per width and GSM in bulk, with in-stock rolls in 2 to 5 working days.
