White MF

Wins: No printing side to orient, and no run rejected for feeding the wrong side.

Loses: A glazed MG face holds finer detail. For presentation work, start with MG.

White MG

Wins: Ink lands closer to your proof on a bright glazed white. The better of our two MG grades for colour fidelity.

Loses: Only one side is glazed. The reverse stays matte.

02 / Decide

How to decide

Start with print. If the sheet carries a brand, a pattern or colour, choose white MG. Ink on brown shifts towards the base shade, and on a bright glazed white ink lands closer to your proof.

If the sheet only wraps, separates or feeds a converting line, choose white MF. Both faces are even, so the web runs either way up.

Send your artwork and print process with your enquiry, and we will advise which white grade suits the job.

Check food contact before you order. White MF is not for direct food contact. For white MG, ask us before food use. For food, use butter paper or OGR.

03 / Formats

Order sizes

Both grades come in reels from 500 to 1,500 mm wide and 1,500 to 4,000 m long, and in 500×700 and 700×1,000 mm sheets, at 40 to 80 GSM.

The MOQ for both is 1 tonne per GSM and width. White MF also sells by the ream, from 100 reams per sheet size. Lead time for both is 3 to 5 weeks after spec approval.

Questions

Before you specify

White MG or white MF?

MG is glazed on one side, so MG gives the brighter, smoother face for print. MF is machine-finished on both sides for general commercial use.

Is the reverse of white MG glazed too?

No. Machine glazing finishes one side. The reverse stays matte.

Does white MG suit multi-colour print?

The glazed white face is the better of our two MG grades for colour fidelity. Send your artwork and print process and we will advise.
