Bleached Kraft

Wins: Kraft strength to 120 GSM, for packs built to survive a supply chain and still look deliberate.

Loses: No glazed face on our specification sheet. For fine print, white MG wins.

White MG

Wins: A glazed white face for accurate colour, from 40 GSM.

Loses: A lighter range, to 80 GSM, and not built as a strength grade.

02 / Decide

How to decide

Bleached kraft is a strength grade. White MG is a printing surface. This line from our grade pages settles most choices.

Choose bleached kraft for outer packs, boxes and bags taking weight and handling. Choose white MG for wraps and labels where print quality decides.

If a pack needs both, ask for samples of each and print a proof on both.

03 / Uses

Where each white sheet fits

Bleached kraft suits premium packing where the wrap is part of the product, branded outers built for handling, and converting into bags and boxes needing strength and a clean look.

White MG suits branded wrap with accurate colour, presentation-led retail packing, and commercial print runs needing a glazed white face.

Bleached kraft keeps the long-fibre kraft base and brightens the surface. White MG starts from a white base and glazes one face. The two whites come from different jobs.

04 / Formats

Formats side by side

Bleached kraft reels run 600 to 1,800 mm wide, with sheets at 700×1,000 and 900×1,200 mm. White MG reels run 500 to 1,500 mm wide, with sheets at 500×700 and 700×1,000 mm.

Both start at 1 tonne per GSM and width. Ask us before food use of either grade. For direct food contact, use butter paper or OGR.
