Brown OGR

Wins: A natural, unbleached look, with the same grease barrier as white.

Loses: Natural stock varies in shade between batches. We flag a batch change before dispatch.

White OGR

Wins: A clean, retail look on the counter.

Loses: No natural look, for brands built on an unbleached feel.

02 / Decide

How to decide

Decide on the look first. Grease performance stays the same across both shades.

Unbleached brown is now visual shorthand for food made by hand, not in a factory. White reads clean and retail. Kitchens choosing brown usually choose the shade on purpose.

Weights, widths, roll lengths, sheet sizes and MOQ match across the two shades. Order samples of both and compare them on your own counter. Once you agree a shade, repeats ship against the same spec.

03 / Uses

Where each shade fits

Brown OGR suits fried and oily food with a natural finish, and artisan presentation, where unbleached reads as part of the product.

White OGR suits counter service with a clean white presentation, and commercial packing at lighter GSM, where weight and cost both matter.

04 / Formats

Weights and formats

Both shades come in 35, 45, 55, 65 and 70 GSM. Reels run 300 to 1,200 mm wide, slit to order, and 1,000 to 3,000 m long. Sheets come in 300×400, 400×600 and 500×700 mm.

The MOQ for both shades is 500 kg per GSM and size. Lead time is 2 to 3 weeks from stock, or 6 to 8 weeks for a new mill run.

Questions

Before you specify

Is brown OGR less refined than white?

No. Brown is the same OGR grade. Brown skips the bleaching step, which gives the natural look.

Does the shade affect grease resistance?

No. Both shades share the same oil and grease resistant grade.

Which shade suits fried snacks?

Both. The grease barrier is the same. Pick brown for a natural look and white for a clean, retail look.

Will the brown shade vary between orders?

Natural stock carries some variation. We flag a batch change before the order ships, so you face no surprise on the floor.
