Interleaving paper for garments

Interleaving paper goes between folded garments, so each layer stays clean and separate. An even white sheet does the job.

01 / The job

What interleaving does

Folded garments stacked for dispatch or storage press against each other. A sheet between each layer keeps the layers separate and gives the stack a neat finish.

The sheet needs to be even and clean on both sides, since both faces touch fabric.

    40–80 GSM

    White MF is even on both sides, the general-purpose sheet for interleaving.

03 / Format

Formats and order size

White MF comes in reels from 500 to 1,500 mm wide and in 500×700 and 700×1,000 mm sheets. The MOQ is 1 tonne per GSM and width, or 100 reams per sheet size.

Lead time is 3 to 5 weeks after spec approval. Send your garment and carton sizes and we will suggest a sheet size.

04 / Size

Sizing the sheet

Size the sheet to the folded garment, with a small margin on each side, so the full face of each layer is covered.

White MF sheets come in 500×700 and 700×1,000 mm. For other sizes, cut from a reel or ask for a quote.

05 / Outer

Wrapping and cartons

Interleaving sits inside the stack. Around the stack, bleached kraft gives a clean, strong outer wrap. Inside the carton, kraft fills the empty space so the stack stays put in transit.

06 / Bags

Retail bags

For printed retail bags, white MG gives a bright glazed face for colour. Brown MG gives the same construction with a natural look.

Which paper goes between folded clothes?

An even white sheet such as our white MF, which is the same on both faces.

Do you supply interleaving paper by the ream?

Yes. White MF sells from 100 reams per sheet size, as well as by the reel.

Brown or white paper between garments?

White. An even white sheet such as white MF presents the same clean face to every layer.
