Paper specification sheet

A specification sheet records the paper you agreed. Every repeat order then ships against the same spec, and every delivery gets checked against the sheet.

01 / How to use

How to use a paper specification sheet

  1. Agree the spec on samples.

Compare samples in your own light and on your own line, and pick the grade, GSM and format.

  2. Fill one sheet per grade and size.

Record every field below and give the sheet a reference.

  3. Quote the reference on every repeat.

The supplier ships against the same sheet you approved.

  4. Check each delivery against the sheet.

Note any shortage or damage on the carrier copy and photograph the damage before unwrapping further.

03 / Why

Why a written spec matters

Shade and hand vary between mills and between batches. A written spec gives you and your supplier one reference to check against.

At KEIKO PAPERS, once you agree a spec, we keep the spec on file. Each repeat ships against the same sheet you approved, and we flag a batch change before the order ships.
