Converting
Converting is the work of turning reels and sheets of paper into finished products, such as bags, labels, wraps and boxes.
01 / The processes
What converting covers
Converting covers slitting, sheeting, printing, folding, gluing, laminating and punching. A firm doing this work is a converter.
A bag line shows several steps in one machine. Paper comes off a reel, takes print, and is folded and glued into finished bags.

02 / Buying
What a converter orders
A converter buys paper by grade, GSM and reel width, matched to the machine. Every width is a separate line on the order, with its own MOQ.
Our grade pages name converting as a main use of white MF, brown MG and bleached kraft. White MF gives a predictable base. Brown MG gives a printing face on a kraft base. Bleached kraft goes into bags and boxes needing strength and a clean look.
03 / Our part
Converting in a KEIKO PAPERS quote
We supply the base paper, not the finished product. MG and MF reels run from 500 to 1,500 mm wide. Kraft reels run from 600 to 1,800 mm wide.
Send us your machine width and the product you make. We will match a grade and a GSM.
