Core diameter
Core diameter is the inside diameter of the tube a paper roll or reel winds on, which decides the shaft or chuck the roll fits.
01 / Sizes
Common core sizes
Core sizes are often quoted in inches. Roll paper for wide-format printers commonly winds on 2 inch cores, 51 mm, or 3 inch cores, 76 mm.
Inside and outside diameter differ by twice the wall of the tube. Ask which figure a spec states. The inside diameter decides the fit on your shaft.

02 / Buying
Why the core matters to you
A roll fits a dispenser, an unwind stand or a converting line only when the core fits the shaft or chuck. A mismatched core stops the line or needs an adaptor.
The core also takes up space at the centre of the roll. For the same outside diameter, a larger core leaves room for less paper.

Our specification sheet lists reel widths and roll lengths. Core sizes are not on the sheet yet.
Tell us your core or shaft size with your enquiry. The sales desk confirms the core before your order ships.
